In reading, we are studying “Women in History” for the rest of the month. Please ask your child about some of the awesome women we have talked about.
There will be a Reading Common Assessment on Friday.

The Christmas Season is upon us!!!!! We have many spectacular events that will occur next week. Please post this note somewhere in your home so you will be informed of each day's events.
Wednesday, December 14- End of Nine Weeks Yard Sale at 1:00-1:45…Please send in ANYTHING that you would like to get rid of. This can include “grown up” stuff like clothing, candles, ceramics, knick-knacks, etc. The students love to buy gifts for family at this yard sale.
Thursday, December 15- Christmas Party after lunch…Remember the gifts for our soldiers. Please send in snacks, candy, etc. Drinks will be provided.
Friday, December 16- Last ½ Day!!!!!!! Brunch will be served. After brunch, our school traditional sing-along will take place in the gym. To support our “Relay For Life” team, students may bring in $1.00 and wear their P.J.'s. (Please be sure they wear school appropriate pajamas….)
It has a privilege to work with your family this semester. It is a joy and a blessing to come to school each day and work with such wonderful and unique children. Here's wishing you a restful and blessed holiday and new year. We will see your children on

Please be sure to come to school with your best behavior. It would be such a shame to miss so many fun and exciting learning opportunities for not being able to act appropriately.

I can't believe it is the middle of September already! Here are some important events coming up this week….
Tuesday, Sept. 13 will our Reading DEA assessment. Please get a good night's sleep and be ready to do a fabulous job!
Friday, Sept. 16 is our Grandparents' Day. All grandparents are welcome to come for lunch! If any other family member would like to attend, please feel come!
We will also be celebrating "Constitution Day" on Friday. We will be discussing the American Constitution and doing some fun activities.

3 Weeks until KCCT testing! Be sure you are at school and prepared for all the GREAT review and instruction.
Friday, April 22, we will be enjoying Easter snacks from 2:30-3:00. If you would like to bring in any wrapped candy, juices, etc., we would REALLY appreciate it.

We will be celebrating Valentine’s Day on Monday, February 14 at 1:00. If students would like to decorate a Valentine box, they may, and they will need to deliver boxes to school on Monday. Please do not send boxes early. If students do not wish to make a box, they will be given a bag at school that day.
If students would like to bring Valetines for their classmates, a list of our class members is included below. If you choose to send Valentines, please send one for every member of the class. If you would like, please send in some treats for us to snack on during our party.
