As the year is getting underway, we are into the full swing of things here in our classroom.  This week we have started our second week of our Journeys series and are continuing on with our first topic of our new math series.  The students are learning about possessive nouns, characters in a story, and addition word problems.  We are also finishing up our MAP testing this week with our math test on Thursday.  Please continue to practice spelling and sight words nightly with your child as well as their daily reading or math homework.  Thank you for all your help as we make our kids the best they can be!

Don’t forget:  NO SCHOOL on Monday, September 7 for Labor Day and Grandparent’s Day will be on Wednesday, September 9.

Have a great week!

This week is flying by and we have lucked out of too many snow days so far. I hope it stays that way! The kids are busy this week taking their MAP tests. Please be sure they get a good nights rest and eat a good breakfast each morning. We are well underway with our new reading series and the kids seem to be really enjoying the new stories. Don’t forget there is NO SCHOOL next Monday due to MLK day. Have a great weekend!
