Principal's Message

Welcome to Northside!

I am Sharon Linville Hill. I was born and raised in Harrison County and attended Northside Elementary as a student. I am married and have 2 wonderful sons and 2 awesome grandsons.

Before becoming a principal, I taught 11 years at Westside. This will be my 16th year as principal at Northside and it has been a privilege to serve my community.

As part of the marvelous "Mustang" family, we need parents, students, and teachers work together to ensure academic success for all students in a positive, learning-focused environment. Our staff works hard to ensure all students are provided with enriching learning opportunities in order to become creative and critical thinkers. We provide a well-rounded curriculum and a variety of clubs/activities.

Your support and participation is welcomed in some very important ways. Please encourage your child to have good attendance. It helps build character and a strong work ethic. Encourage your child to work hard and to do their best. Having pride in one's self is very important in life. Extra activities, such as Field Day, Art Day, in class projects, Book Fair, and our Spring Carnival require many helpers. Your help allows us to offer exciting, engaging educational programs for our students. We need your talents at our school. Please consider joining our PTO.

For the 2019-2020 school year, we will have an after school program 4 days a week to provide tutoring and enrichment for our students. We are looking forward to this wonderful opportunity for our students.

It truly takes an entire community to empower our students to become successful citizens. I look forward to a great year and working with such an amazing group of people!

Please feel free to contact me if I can be of assistance in working with you to better meet the needs of your child.

Go, Mustangs!!

Mrs. Sharon Hill, Principal
