The Harrison County Board of Education and Harrison County High School would like to welcome new Head Boy’s Basketball Coach, Terence Brooks, to Hilltop Nation. Brooks takes over the helm for the Thorobreds after posting a 124-84 record at Paris the past seven seasons. He led the Greyhounds to the 2016-2017 All “A” 10th Region and State Championships along with winning three 40th District titles during his tenure.

After High School, Brooks enrolled at Lees Junior College where he earned All District and All Region honors in both seasons. He earned a scholarship to Murray State University and led the Racers to back-to-back postseason appearances. In the 1987-1988 season, Brooks’ Murray State team was a 14 seed and defeated North Carolina State in the first round before bowing out to eventual National Champion, Kansas in the Round of 32.

Prior to leading the boy’s team at Paris, Brooks was the Head Coach for the Lady Hounds from 2003-2009. The Lady Hounds won the 10th Region All “A” Tournament in each season. Paris was overall 10th Region Champion in the 2003-2004 season. After the 2009 campaign, the college ranks came calling and Brooks took over the head coaching position at Berea.
