Cynthiana, Kentucky (August 5, 2021) - Harrison County Public Schools and the Kentucky Department of Education have entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Kentucky Department of Education regarding reimbursement for an interim principal at the Harrison County Area Technology Center. Mr. Mark Sims, current ATC principal, has accepted a new position in Fayette County. We sincerely thank Mr. Sims for his leadership and his passionate dedication to the numerous students he has served both as an instructor and most recently as the HC ATC principal. He is wished the very best in his new role.
In collaboration with Bourbon County Schools, Nicholas County Schools and Paris Independent Schools, Harrison County Schools is pleased to announce that Mr. Todd Brannock will be assuming the position of interim principal at the ATC for the 2021-2022 school year. Mr. Brannock is no stranger to the
landscape of Harrison County Schools. He has been serving as the assistant principal at Harrison County High School since 2014.
This is Mr. Brannock’s 19th year in education. He graduated from EKU in 2001 with a BS in Agriculture. He then obtained his teaching certificate from UK in 2003 and his Masters of Arts in Educational Leadership from EKU in 2011 with a Rank 1 obtained from UK in 2014.
Mr. Brannock, a Bourbon County native, started teaching agriculture at Bourbon County Middle School in the fall of 2003. He moved to Bourbon County High School and taught from 2004 to 2007. In 2007, he moved to Harrison County High school to teach agriculture. In the fall of 2014, he accepted an HCHS assistant principal's position.
“I am humbled and honored to be the next principal of the Harrison County Area Technology Center. Knowing that I have some big shoes to fill, I plan to hit the ground running. I'm looking forward to working with all school districts that trust Harrison County ATC with making their students ‘Life Ready.’ With collaborative efforts from business and industry and community partners, we can create something very special in the years to come.”
Todd Brannock is married to Leann Brannock, a teacher at Harrison County Middle School, and they have two children, Sydney and Samuel, who both attend Harrison County Middle School.
The Harrison County School District extends congratulations to Mr. Brannock as the interim principal of Harrison County ATC, and looks forward to his collaborative leadership in preparing graduates for their future education and vocational careers.
