“ESS” stands for “extended school services” and HCMS predominantly uses ESS funding for students to be tutored. We have a group of teachers that are paid additionally, after school hours, to tutor students who are struggling.
WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE parents to consider getting their child into tutoring. With the loss of solid instruction over the last 18 months, it’s critical to try and recoup some of those skills via tutoring.
ESS tutoring will start the week of October 11.
Mrs. Stacy Lemons will be your point of contact here at HCMS. She is our new ESS Coordinator. If you wish to sign your child up for tutoring, please contact Stacy Lemons, stacy.lemons2@harrison.kyschools.us.
Tutoring will be held Monday through Friday, and students will need to be picked up in the front parking lot at 4:15 daily.
