Clothes

While our dress code is notably more flexible than at any point in the last 18 years, occasionally we need to help students who come to school out of compliance (for whatever reason).  We need to get them back into class as soon as possible to avoid missing instruction. Our Youth Services Center helps lead this by stockpiling extra clothing items and will respond when the call comes in that a change of clothes is needed. The clothes are routinely washed/cleaned and prepared for possible student needs each day.  Now that we no longer have the days of “khakis”, we are in very short supply of certain items.

To “incentivize” and encourage students to help, students in the school can now earn the LAST 2 school days of December (December 16 & 17) as “Sweat pants/gym short” dress down days. Below you will see the clothes we’re in need of. Should any student provide a COMPLETE (one top AND one bottom FOR EACH DAY) set of needed clothing, up to 2 days can be earned. Bring in ONE full set and the student receives FRIDAY, December 17th in sweats. Bring in TWO full sets, the student receives both Thursday (16th) & Friday (17th).

What we need-

  • Jeans (especially girls) without holes (big time need)

  • T-shirts (without holes & no inappropriate messaging)

(Especially for colder months)

  • ¼ zip or full zip pullovers (big time need)

  • Crewneck sweatshirts (big time need)
