HOODED SWEATSHIRTS
Due to TWO (2) main reasons, until further notice we are going to allow ALL students to wear hooded sweatshirts EVERY DAY. This ONLY pertains to hooded sweatshirts. Hooded “shirts” or hooded “sweaters” do NOT fall under this flexibility.
Why are we doing this:
Many of our classrooms vary significantly in terms of warmth/coolness. Hooded sweatshirts are readily available at home and we’re trying to offer as much flexibility as possible.
We are still dealing with the need to give mask breaks and those breaks include being outside the building. With the colder temperatures, hoodies are the most popular/readily available “warm clothing” that kids have.
PLEASE NOTE: Other dress code rules STILL APPLY. Notable clothing violations we are seeing that will be enforced incude:
Absolutely NO holes (Note: this INCLUDES- slits/tears/frays)
No cargo pockets on pants or shorts
Coats/Bulky outerwear must be stored in locker throughout school day
Sweatpants, jogging pants, athletic shorts
