HCMS is starting an after-school book club. The first book we will be reading and discussing is OCDaniel by Wesley King. In this story, Daniel tries to hide his OCD and blend into the crowd. He does not want anyone to notice that he is different. One day Daniel receives a mysterious note in his locker that says “I need your help”-signed fellow star child. As Daniel investigates the note, everything changes for him. He becomes understood and realizes he is special and important just the way he is.
Our first meeting will be Thursday, December 8th after school until 4:30 in the HCMS library. Mrs. Ammerman from the Cynthiana Harrison County Public Library will be joining us to co-host our book club and share teen happenings at the public library.
