Happy Holidays from Northside.

Too many sweet treats for Mr. Grinch!

More Grinch shenanigans from the week. Tuesday, Mr. Grinch is 'collecting' mail for Santa to take to the North Pole. Wednesday, Mr. Grinch is dreaming about "The Night Before Christmas," which we will read and enjoy school-wide today.

Today, all students at Northside spent a few minutes reading the Christmas classic, "The Night Before Christmas." We were blessed with several guest readers. I didn't get a photo of everyone, but wanted to share those I was able to capture. A big thank you to all of our guests: Kristen Northcutt, Melissa Miles, Trevor Smith, Darlena Brown, Keith Merritt, Lona Rorer, and Mary June Brunker.

Its Monday mischief with the Grinch at Northside! The Grinch has tied a rope between the basketball goals and is spending his day suspended above the cafeteria. He was surprisingly difficult to find today!

One of our Christmas Elves was FINALLY able to catch Mr. Grinch for a Naughty List TIME OUT! By the look of his smile, I can see he's up to something!

Mr. Grinch and all the Library Book Buddies enjoyed an overnight snowball fight at Northside!

On Tuesday, Mr. Grinch was making a mess, attempting to sell Hot Chocolate ahead of our Entrepreneur Fair. Hot Chocolate, made with real onions? Gross!

Each year, Mr. Grinch makes an appearance at Northside and starts his Christmas shenanigans. His mischief knows no bounds!
With the busyness of the week, we forgot to post our pictures of Mr. Grinch! Monday, Mr. Grinch makes his first appearance, having captured a Christmas Elf.

Check out Northside's Entrepreneur Fair! Students, parents, and guests are getting a little early shopping done. Our students have come up with some wonderful and creative ideas!

What's for lunch?

For safety purposes after school activities that start immediately after the school day end will continue as normal. Activities that start after 4 of which you would return to the school to participate in will be canceled.

We have been notified by law enforcement of a community situation that has prompted the implementation of safety measures for students. The message indicates that, as of this afternoon, specific guidelines will be followed until further guidance is received from the local law enforcement. Here is a breakdown of the information:
Transportation: Busses will still be transporting students as normal but they will follow rerouted paths which could cause a delayed drop-off.
Walking Restriction: No Students will be allowed to walk, This is to ensure that students are kept within a controlled and secure environment. Parents of Middle School and High School walkers may pick up their student at the school or they will be released when the all clear is given.
The decision to implement these measures is based on prioritizing the safety of the student population in the community. It is important to follow the guidelines until further information or guidance is provided by local law enforcement. We will keep you informed.

If you are participating in our "Northside Thanksgiving Day Parade" please remember to bring your float or balloon to school on Monday or Tuesday morning.
