Thank you, CFD, for teaching our 1st-3rd graders about fire safety today!

This is Mr. Shirley. He is our night custodian. He's the guy that gets our building "school-ready" each night after we spend the day messing it up. We couldn't have school without him!

Thank you, Mr. Walker, for everything you do for the students and staff of Westside Elementary!

Thank you to the Cynthiana Fire Department and FRYSC for providing the Smoke House today! 3rd-5th learned about fire safety and how to evacuate a building in case of emergency.

Thanks for the visit this morning!

No picture, but I had the opportunity to teach in our third grade today, and it was an absolute blast. Thank you, third grade team, for putting up with me!

Like these students in Mrs. Canupp’s class, our students all spend 30-45 minutes per week working on their individual learning path in iReady. We use this program for reading and math.

ESS for 3rd through 5th grades will begin on Tuesdays and Thursdays next week and will take place during the school day throughout the year.

Mrs. Stacy's 5th grade students took some time today to teach Mrs. Hartzel's kindergarten students how to log in to their Chrome tablets and then provided technical support as their new friends completed their first iReady lessons. Thank you, 5th grade, for your leadership!

This crew used their free time to make Stitch out of pattern blocks. It looks perfect in Mrs. Blackburn's Lilo and Stitch classroom!

A BIG thank-you to the cadets from HCHS JROTC. They spent their time today training our 5th grade team on proper flag procedures.

The book fair is coming to Westside Sept. 9-13. See more info in the pictures.

5th grade is hard at work learning how to write a 5-paragraph essay!

We look forward to having you!

Mrs. Muntz is using her new interactive white board to help lead a great math conversation!
